MC (Master of Ceremony) is not just a "speaking role." It involves on-stage talks, interactions with fans, appearances on shows, and streaming, where one must acquire the "power to dominate the space through words", which is essential for professional artists.
In STAGE ZERO's MC lessons, we adopt a curriculum that allows individuals to gradually enhance their skills, from those who are not good at speaking to those aiming for higher expressiveness. Classes are conducted in small groups of five, and instructors analyze and guide each individual's speaking characteristics.
MC lessons are divided into three levels: "beginner, intermediate, and advanced." We cultivate the ability to attract listeners through control of voice, words, pauses, and expressions.
We provide fundamental training to speak without tension in front of a stage or camera. Students will learn techniques that form the foundation of conversation, such as voice modulation, articulation, eye contact, and posture, helping them to overcome resistance to "communicating in their own words." Additionally, through practicing short self-introductions and themed talks, we nurture the ability to speak naturally.
Students will learn to design the flow of conversation and develop the ability to convey information accurately within a limited time frame. The curriculum focuses on practical scenarios, such as themed talks, impromptu MCing, and handling interviews.
Training not only emphasizes "how to speak" but also "how it is received." By incorporating exchanges with others and practicing team MC, we cultivate flexible response skills.
At the advanced level, students will acquire the skill to "design the space" through talks. They will learn to manage the distance with the audience, express emotions, create humor, and structure a flow through hands-on exercises that simulate professional environments like live MCing or program hosting.
Through detailed feedback from instructors, students will refine their oratory skills to "move the scene with their own words" as artists.
Because MC skills are greatly influenced by individual personality and experience, we offer paid individual lessons for those interested. The cost is 11,000 yen (tax included) for a 60-minute session, and appointments are required, with instructor selection available.
Due to limitations in speaking opportunities during group lessons, we recommend individual lessons for those wanting to "correct their quirks," "speak naturally in front of an audience," or "learn a speaking style that resonates in streaming."
The instructor will analyze voice, expression, and structure from three axes, designing improvement plans tailored to each individual's challenges. This is the fastest route to realize confident stage performance.
Like other curriculums, MC lessons allow students to earn "MILES" based on instructor evaluations.
The evaluation criteria consider the overall completeness of the talk, including accuracy of words, structuring skills, expressiveness, adaptability, and how effectively it reaches the audience. Miles serve as a growth indicator and proof of continuous effort.
Upon reaching a total of 50,000 Miles, you will be officially recognized as a "Debut Confirmed Member" set by STAGE ZERO. MC skills are a crucial element in group activities and solo performances, and refining your speaking ability will enhance your stage expression.
MC is a skill for conveying emotions through words and creating an atmosphere. More than just speaking well, the ability to "deliver your thoughts" is essential. At STAGE ZERO, we aim to integrate voice, words, and emotions, aspiring to a new stage as "communicating artists."
Artists who can dominate the stage are those who master words. Begin your first step with STAGE ZERO.
